whiskey barrel bar table

i worked on this table as a member of the guild of oregon woodworkers project build group. i modified the design and diverged from the original inspiration photos to create a more elegant table profile. other than the miters on the table aprons, all the joinery was done entirely by hand, with dowels to hold the stretchers in place. the cut faces were ebonized to match the dark charred interior of the barrel.
